Hi, I’m Michael Tews, a photographer passionate about capturing the beauty, emotion, and quiet moments that often go unnoticed.
Photography started as a curiosity for me, but it quickly grew into something much deeper. I became fascinated with how light, color, and timing can transform an ordinary scene into something powerful and meaningful. Whether it’s the stillness of a winter landscape, the intricate details of nature, or the personality of wildlife, my goal is always the same — to capture images that feel real, honest, and alive.
I primarily shoot with the Canon EOS R5, a camera that allows me to capture incredible detail and clarity in every photograph. From sweeping landscapes to close-up macro shots and wildlife moments, I love exploring different styles of photography and constantly pushing myself to grow as an artist.
Living in northern Michigan provides endless inspiration. The forests, lakes, changing seasons, and wildlife offer countless opportunities to create images that reflect the beauty of the natural world. Many of my photographs are inspired by quiet moments outdoors — a bird landing on a feeder, light breaking through the clouds, or the subtle textures of nature up close.
For me, photography is more than just taking pictures. It’s about telling stories, preserving moments, and helping people see the world a little differently.
Every photograph is an opportunity to capture something unique, and I’m always excited to see what the next frame will reveal.
📸 Thank you for visiting and taking the time to explore my work.
